The International Beauty Show-New York opens its 108th edition at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on March 23-25, 2025 — and early registration pricing runs only through midnight on Friday, Jan. 17.
The industry-only show, presented by Questex in partnership with American Salon, runs concurrently with the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference (IECSC NY). One badge covers both expo floors at no extra charge, which matters for owners budgeting continuing education across hair and skin care teams.
Show hours are 10am-5pm on Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24, and 10am-3:30pm on Tuesday, March 25.
What's new on the show floor?
A dedicated Business District sits between the beauty and spa events, targeting business-building tools for independents, brand founders, and owners of salons, spas, and barbershops. For solopreneurs, this consolidates vendor and education scouting into one zone.
New Premium and VIP passes bundle combined educational sessions, three-day admission to both expo floors, fast-track badge pickup, and an exclusive swag bag — a time-saving option for attendees who plan to load up on classes.
"American Salon Presents" brings professional classes curated by American Salon around current trends and hot topics in the industry.
What's been upgraded?
The Glam & Go Showcase Stage replaces the former Look & Learn Stage with a larger format and a new LED digital background, designed to make it easier for audiences to follow A-list educators demonstrating trending techniques.
The Powerhouse Pavilion, the experience area celebrating the Black beauty market, broadens its educational focus in 2025 with a dynamic classroom format featuring panel discussions hosted by leading barber educator, school owner, and activist Rodrick Samuels.
Which competition is back?
The Fades & Blades Barber Battle returns for the first time since 2019 — the March 2020 edition fell to the pandemic. The competition returns to the Javits Center with upgraded prizes and production value.
It's a Total Look contest: entries must include color, cut, style, and wardrobe. Competitors must register for IBS-NY to enter.
What moved?
The Say Yes to You Lounge, the wellness zone focused on mental and physical health for industry professionals, remains at the Javits Center but relocates to the IECSC side of the combined event.
For working professionals, the practical calculus is straightforward: register before Jan. 17 for early pricing, and one badge buys access to both shows, the Business District, and the barber battle floor. Watch IBS New York's registration page for the full class schedule as the March 23 opening approaches.
